Snowy's Story
Sometimes you hear a story and it just pulls at your heartstrings. This is one of those stories.
Snowy, as she is now called, was found abandoned at the Fredericktown City Dump. While hearing about dumped and abandoned animals is nothing new in animal rescue, Snowy was not just dumped. She had been hog tied and left for dead. She was found on July 6th, while we hope she was not there very long, we have no real way of knowing how long she was actually lef there to suffer. Our local Animal Control Officer was notified and she was picked up right away and we were called in soon after. Snowy was in such bad shape that we could not even determine if she was male or female. Her fur was matted and she had been neglected/abused for months.
Snowy's eyes showed despair and defeat. She looked like she had given up hope. Luckily, we, along with other animal rescue organizations, were there to help. We immediately posted her story on social media and within minutes there were hundreds of shares and thousands of views. We still hope to find the cruel person who committed this heinous crime.
Today, Snowy's life changes forever. She is going to a new animal rescue, Hands, Hearts & Paws in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a beautiful Great Pyrenees and she is finally going to get the life she deserves.
